Tourists Return to Aloha Stadium Swapmeet
Posted by Abby Kolej on
This was our first weekend since Hawaii's Pre-Travel Testing Program went into effect October 15th 2020.
With proper pre-travel testing travelers can avoid a mandatory 14-day Covid-19 quarantine when traveling to Hawaii and we have already seen an increase in tourist traffic this past weekend. So far everyone seems to be following the rules and enjoying their shopping experience.
Since we are seeing far fewer customers since Covid lock downs began, I have been trying many new things to attract people to my store. One of the things I am trying is offering small bags of miscellaneous craft and jewelry items. These bags can include strands of pearls, loose jade, crystal beads, necklace bundles and more.
I have also been making many new jewelry designs and have also been going through packed away inventory. I can now offer designs I have not had in a while. For example, I found about 20 hand-knotted jade bead bracelets that I had thought I’d run out of.
These bracelets have multiple colored jade beads, and are bracelets are adjustable. These were given to me from my mother’s stock when she gave me her jewelry business which is now Abby’s Crafts Hawaii. I have put 5 pieces on my website and the rest will go to my store at the Aloha Stadium Marketplace.
Hope to see you all soon!
